There are a lot of ways in which to volunteer—from greeting guests and selling raffle tickets at our annual fundraiser to becoming a mentor for a current student. Email the Alumni Office to volunteer.

Alumni Awards and Scholarships
The Milton F. Clogg Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award is presented each year to
alumni who have demonstrated exemplary service to their community, profession, and/or
to Montgomery College.

The Montgomery College Alumni Association recognizes a recent graduate or former student
of the College for outstanding achievements in their career, in service to the community,
and in support for the College.

Every year the Alumni Association awards scholarships to a variety of current and transferring students.
To apply for an Alumni Association scholarship or the Koutsoutis Statue of Liberty Scholarship, please fill out the Alumni Scholarship application on the AcademicWorks portalnew window. Applications will be accepted in the spring.
Students who actively participate as a volunteer at MC and are concluding their studies at MC this year may complete the Recognition Transfer Scholarship application. Applications will be accepted in the spring on the AcademicWorks portalnew window.
Alumni Association Chapters

Construction Management
The Construction Management Department is working toward building a database for alumni
networking. For more information email Professor Kara Guthro at kara.guthro@montgomerycollege.edu.
Engineering
Engineering students and alumni participate in engaging engineering guest lecture series. In past events, alumni have been presenters. Efforts are being made to include more
alumni as invitees to future programs.
Macklin Business Institute
MBI alumni seek to establish a strong network of current and past program participants.
Former MBI program participants can update their information through the Macklin Business Institute Alumni application. In addition to mentoring current students, alumni offer informational interviews
and access to internships in their field. Twice a year, the chapter hosts a social
event in the metro area.
MC Club
The MC Club represents outstanding athletes from current sports – baseball, basketball,
soccer, volleyball and track and field – as well as athletes from retired sports such
as cross country, football, field hockey, golf, tennis and wrestling. For more information

Montgomery Scholars
Past Montgomery Scholars hold reunions each summer and stay updated via the Montgomery
Scholars award-winning newsletter, Scholarly Pursuits, that highlights compelling alumni success stories and testimonials. For more information

Nursing
The MC Nursing Program celebrates its 57th anniversary in 2025, making it one of the
oldest alumni chapters at the College. The chapter members support current students
and the nursing club by offering support for club events, mentoring, informational
interviews and networking opportunities. Join the MC Nursing Facebook group to get involved.
Alumni Office Staff
Steve Robinson, '09, Alumni Director, is a proud alumnus of MC and a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. With over eight years of experience in development, communications, and community engagement, Steve is dedicated to fostering strong connections within the MC alumni community. He is responsible for creating and implementing a strategic alumni engagement program designed to deepen alumni involvement, resulting in increased volunteerism, financial support, and enhanced connectedness.
Ezra Pine, Alumni Specialist, brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for our community. Ezra grew up in Montgomery County and is a proud graduate of Grinnell College. His professional journey began at the Montgomery County Council, where he served as a legislative aide, gaining several years of invaluable experience in community engagement. He is responsible for developing and executing communication and programming strategies with alumni, as well as fostering their connection and involvement with Montgomery College.
Peninnah Victor, Alumni Aide, is a second year student at MC pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences. She has made a mark on the Rockville Campus through her active involvement in the Student Government Association and various other positions. Balancing her fun-loving nature with a strong work ethic, she thrives on engaging conversations and fostering connections with alumni and current MC students.
